Joe joined Wheelers in 1988, following several years in the profession in the north-west, overseas and London and he became a director of Wheeler Group Consultancy in 1989. Joe's experience is considerable and wide-ranging, having led teams on commissions as diverse as factories, major city-centre redevelopments, airports, hospitals, fitting out programmes and technical audits. He is acknowledged as an expert in contractual issues, having specialised in the Engineering and Construction Contract since its publication.
