Ed joined the firm as a director of Wheeler Group Consultancy in 1987 and was appointed Chairman in June 1997. He is responsible for all professional and administrative matters practice-wide but maintains active hands-on involvement in a variety of commissions for national and international organisations, with an emphasis on cost management and procurement systems for the construction and fitting out of headquarters offices, theatres, private residential and laboratory projects.

Ed is the younger son of Colin R. Wheeler FRICS, who founded Wheelers in the style C.R.Wheeler & Partners in 1953. Ed is based in the London Office.
