Refurbishment |
|
Refurbishment projects tend to bring a range of challenges requiring particular skills and experience from the quantity surveyor, not only in cost planning but also in design economics, procurement and post-contract cost management.
Our skills and experience in this type of project have been gained on a range of buildings, often listed and requiring traditional craft skills to meet Heritage requirements. Alterations and extensions, perhaps with users or owners in occupation or in congested urban areas often add value but usually also increase complexity, necessitating careful practical and financial planning to maintain budgets.
Wheelers bring experience and careful thought to refurbishment projects, higher profile examples of which are shown in this section. These have been carried out by our current partners and staff and fuller details are available on request.
