Refurbishment Projects

The Royal Institution
 Wheelers provided quantity surveying and cost consultancy services for the recent refurbishment and remodelling of this Grade 1 Listed building under the architectural direction of Sir Terry Farrell. The project value was £16million and the works were spread over two years on site whilst the Ri remained operational throughout, within the building.
 
The works comprised a full building refurbishment and the internal remodelling of space under the close scrutiny of English heritage to provide three floors of museum space, elegant Georgian rooms and a cafe, bar and restaurant. The refurbishment works included the the world renowned Faraday Lecture Theatre, home of the Royal Institution's Christmas Lectures series. The project was part funded by the Heritage lottery Fund and by charitable donations.
