Our Client, a specialist medicines research company, conducts clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies and had identified a building in North West London for the next stage of its development.
In a six month period and from a standing start, the existing office building was surveyed, refurbished and converted for use as a fully functioning facility with new wards, laboratories, pharmacy, kitchen / dining and administrative accommodation involving new mechanical, electrical and public health services, comprehensive partitioning, finishes and fittings, structural and fabric repairs and lift installation.
The multi-million pound negotiated building contract evolved from intense and detailed cost planning and careful cost management throughout and the facilities were completed for timely occupation within budget.
